Independent Chilli Product Reviews
Exotic Chillies independently reviews Australian chilli sauces, condiments and other chilli products.
These reviews go beyond taking one taste and describing a product as “nice”. We examine the ingredients, flavour, aroma, heat, texture and value before testing the product with real food to discover where it genuinely performs best.
Our reviews are informed by practical experience growing, processing and working with chillies, along with a professional background in food, business and marketing.
How the Review Process Works
- Initial assessment: We consider the product, its intended market and whether it would be suitable for the Exotic Chillies audience.
- Independent tasting: The product is tasted by itself so its flavour, heat, aroma and texture can be assessed without interference from other ingredients.
- Food testing: We select our own food pairings to discover where the product performs best. These may differ from the manufacturer’s serving suggestions.
- Ingredient analysis: We examine the ingredient list, Australian content, chilli varieties and relevant label claims.
- Published review: Selected products may receive a detailed written review with original photography, practical observations and independent scores.
Submit a Product for Consideration
Australian chilli producers are welcome to submit sauces, jams, relishes, condiments and other chilli products for consideration.
Product submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication or a positive review. Supplying a product does not provide editorial control, approval rights or the ability to alter the final assessment.
If a supplied product is reviewed, the article will clearly disclose that the product was provided by the manufacturer. All published opinions and scores will remain independent.
